3/11/2024 I had a dream about a group of kids who all went on a trip with their teacher in South Carolina and another group shows up, so does a small kid with brown, curly hair, looks up in the sky and see's an all white plane. He starts waving at the ship and he gets shot down by someone in one of the plane. The kid's teacher tells them to run, and don't stop running, because once the people see their faces, they'll always come for them. The kids run away, but the oldest girl, Caroline, turns around and see's their teacher getting shot down. They keep running and the two younger kids say their getting tired, but the oldest guy, Jessie, tells them that they need to get away from the people. They see an all white church and the younger girl asks to go inside and pray, but Jessie tells her that it's the white people church and they just park their fancy cars outside of it. They see an old blue and tan Camero and decide to jack it to get away quicker. Jessie decides to drive and backs up into the church, and a little old lady tries to run after them, but he figures out how to drive it. They decide to go to the farthest part of the state they can get. The car eventually breaks down in front of an older lady's house and she allows the kids to stay with them, on the condition that they burn the car. Months later, the woman get's a call from the kid's parents, saying they were also being hunted, and they'd be by the old woman's house. It takes a couple weeks but the parents arrive, Jessie and the younger girl's parents are alive, but Caroline and the younger boy's mom died two days before she could make it, her body is in the back seat. They bury her in the backyard and the only one that can console her is Jessie. Their parents leave, and all four kids stay with the older woman. Years later, both Caroline and Jessie have jobs and Caroline stays during the day to teach the two younger siblings. She saves up enough money ($200) to buy a car, and decides to buy Jessie a tan and blue Camero, like the one they all escaped in
This dream appears to reflect themes of fear, survival, strength, and resilience. The group of kids going on a trip with their teacher in South Carolina represents a sense of innocence and a safe environment. However, the arrival of another group and the shooting of the small kid with curly hair suggests a sudden and traumatic interruption in their peace. The teacher warning them to run and never be seen by the people symbolizes the need to escape a dangerous situation and hide from those who wish to harm them.
The running and the death of their teacher indicate a fight for survival and the loss of their protector. The older girl, Caroline, witnessing the death and the decision of the kids to keep running portray the difficult choices they have to make in order to ensure their safety.
The mention of a white people's church with fancy cars outside represents a symbol of privilege and exclusion. The decision to steal a blue and tan Camero to escape quicker highlights their resourcefulness and the need for a means to escape their pursuers effectively.
The encounter with the older lady who allows them to stay with her, under the condition of burning the car, illustrates the trade-offs they must make to find temporary refuge. The arrival of their parents later on portrays the hope of reunion and the acknowledgment that their loved ones are also being hunted.
The death of Caroline and the younger boy's mom shortly before reaching safety further emphasizes the tragedy and loss they experience. The burial and the comfort offered by Jessie symbolize their need to grieve and find support within their close group.
The years passing, Caroline and Jessie having jobs, Caroline teaching the younger siblings during the day, and Caroline saving up to buy an identical car for Jessie indicate the resilience and determination of the kids to build a new life together. It signifies their ability to overcome their past traumas and find stability and support within their chosen family unit.
Overall, this dream suggests that during times of hardship and adversity, we find strength and solidarity in our connections with others, and with determination and resilience, we can create a new path forward.
